Website unveiled by Government Chief Medical Officer
Professor Dame Sally Davies unveils the new clinician focussed website for the Institute of Mental Health, in the presence of Professor Dr John Milton of Rampton Hospital (centre) and Tim Ryan of Volute.
We were please to meet with Professor Dame Sally Davies, the Government's Chief Medical Officer, who unveiled our website for the Institute of Mental Health.
The Institute, a partnership between the University of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire NHS Healthcare Trust, set up the website in response to requests from clinical colleagues who wanted more accessible online information on mental health topics, particularly with regard to running mental health research programmes.
Professor Milton said: "We intended this new website to be a one-stop shop for busy clinicians who don't have the time to search through the internet for the latest in evidence-based practice. This new site quickly links to authoritative sources as well as encouraging site visitors to join in the conversation with the Institute about spreading good ideas, encouraging innovation and adopting best practice."
Since the opening, the site has been further adapted for use on mobile phones and tablet devices to allow for easy access to information, even when not sat behind a desk. The site can be seen at www.mentalhealthclinicians.org.uk

Volute were asked by NHS Nottinghamshire County to redevelop the primary care trust’s (PCT) website to help revitalise the corporate brand online and showcase enhanced website features for use by public and patients such as new videos within ‘myNHS’.
Decade of Better Health
To make Nottingham a happier and healthier city, the local primary care trust (NHS Nottingham City) has teamed up with Nottingham City Council to develop ambitious plans to achieve a ‘Decade of Better Health’. Volute were brought in to develop an online 'call to action' to help encourage people to start living a healthier lifestyle.
